With the Current

Chris Hedges on the work of Sheldon Wolin, 17 May 2011 from Lannan Foundation on Vimeo.

Inverted totalitarianism and the works of Sheldon Wolin are providing a great deal of insight into the current nature of the United States. This organism without accountability has reached critical mass. In another video, Wolin points out how barbarism is a harsh reality that requires only small amounts to persuade the masses to persevere by assembling once again. How high is your tolerance to chaos and violence? What is your threshold? Will you let go?

Applying static principles to economic evolution is a fruitless venture. Yet there is a surplus of those who attempt to do so. Letting go of the nostalgic residue from the past and moving forward by recognizing the situation at hand. This is one prescription for elevating one's self to join the real conversation.

Though inverted totalitarianism may be another gradient added to the incomplete spectrum of phasic political events, it is still a measure of progress. There is a disregard for transitional positions within political and social worlds here in the United States. It is often regarded as a departure from Capitalism even if it is anything but.  As if it's applicability could not be outgrown or to leave it means total abandonment.
