I have had the pleasure of utilizing a sensory deprivation tank in the past and have witnessed the effects of its influence. One of the most significant being the elimination of light. I can only imagine that it would be similar in an Orgone Accumulator. The elimination of visual stimulus is something useful in terms of altered states of consciousness exploration. Simply shutting the eyes induces a visionary journey.

It was the river Styx on Lee Creek. There were lights flickering in the forest above and beyond. Moonlight bathed everything in silver. The sounds of the creek and the insects were enveloping us. Somehow the river Lathe came into my mind.

At Fiddler's Green you empty your canteen but it is important not to drink from the river Lathe. It wipes all memory of your incarnation. Someone will come to your aid when you are in need of thirst. The chain of attendants to the recently dead are many and remain in service for as long as it suits them. It is considered an honor to return the favor. 

Some are descendants others are Elders. You may or may not recognize them. They will come and tend to you in your moment of need and transition. Even though you may thirst like a Sundancer, you must refrain from drinking the river Lathe's waters. They are contaminated and should be treated as such. That is not to say the river is not sacred. It is simply not in your interest to do like the others. Remember Raoul Loveday. 

Water purification is an elementary step of survival. Familiarize yourself with the methods. Then take your chances. As you take measures to create a sacred circle for shelter, you take precautions with the element of Water. Air and Fire are as related as Earth and Water. As Lord of the Four Quarters you govern the methodology to which you work with these elements. You declare orientation by assigning the Four Directions. 

This is part of setting up a perimeter before you rest. Watch a cat or dog turn a circle before laying down. This activity is a pattern of behavior that stimulates ancient thought. Light a fire at dusk.  Have a Eucharist. Do your Resh to Tum in thy joy. Then nightfall. Staring into the fire. Meditating and absorbing the consuming heat.("Ignis Renovatur Natura Integra" = Fire Renews Earth Incessantly) Nuit covers you in the celestial vault. Geomancy is optimal in the woods. Or the I ching. The wind carries cards. 

If you must, use three cards or runes to perceive in the darkness. Gather three stones to hold down the cards. First is the current position. Second is the sacrifice. The Third is the Future. The triune brain and the triune neuronal process are forming the Triad or Triangle. Through this triplicity one perceives through a portal. By firelight. A spirit of the Day and a spirit of the Night. Not to be construed as Goetia as has been done before mainly by Duquette. I prefer the methods of Priscilla Schwei.
